Today I’m having Earl Grey tea with a fellow Tule Publishing author, the fabulous Fiona McArthur. It’s a pity we’re having this early in the day, otherwise we could’ve had some bubbly – her other favorite drink!<\/span><\/p>\n We’re talking about her new release, Holly’s Heart<\/em>, part of the Outback Brides series<\/em>. But before we look at her book, let’s find out more about her!<\/p>\n A. Quickies<\/strong><\/p>\n I do love my Early Grey tea to start my writing day. I use my grandmother\u2019s teapot and watch the mist on the paddocks as I write. Of course, the perfect end to a day, has very effervescent bubbles in a flute glass.<\/p>\n Jog? What is this jog? Explain this jog? I need to walk more. [I had such a giggle over this, Fi – I totally agree!]<\/p>\n Dogs. Cats don\u2019t like the beach and dogs go berserk there. Nothing more joyful than a dog at the beach.<\/p>\n I adore heels, the higher, the glossier, the more extravagant the better \u2013 but to look at only.<\/p>\n Briefs, sorry, I should say granny undies JBut they are sooo comfortable.<\/p>\n Oh yes, white, please. With white on top and white on top of that. Thank you.<\/p>\n Savoury \u2013 as in cheesy stuff. Nothing with mold. Anything cooked, or fresh, and with those tiny crispy biscuits and wine.<\/p>\n I would have to say, looking at the mountains from the sea. Have you seen my farm? Or my walks on my retreats. I love, love, love, photographing both. Be warned.<\/p>\n B. Five likes and five dislikes<\/strong><\/p>\n Likes are easy I like a lot of things \u2013 Babies, people, sunrise, sunset, Uluru \u2013 though that last one\u2019s a real wow and is the setting in my next book after Holly\u2019s Heart.<\/p>\n Dislikes \u2013 that\u2019s harder; when I forget not to judge people, when I\u2019m running late, when I forget to put petrol in the car, when my deadline is zooming past for a book, and the rest is trivial – if it wasn\u2019t it would be more than dislike.<\/p>\n C. Three things on your bucket list<\/strong><\/p>\n I love to travel. So\u2026<\/p>\n Visiting Egypt!!!\u00a0 I\u2019m going on my birthday in November, yayyyy, by myself, because none of my children or my husband will come with me. At least I won\u2019t have to worry if I snore. Quick Story. I called off my wedding 37 years ago to go to Egypt and missed my husband too much. We married, the kids have grown, and darn it, I\u2019m going to see Egypt before I get too much older.<\/p>\n Two and three? To see my children grow old – in the company of my husband.<\/p>\n D. What triggered this specific story?<\/strong><\/p>\n The setting is the trigger for all of the books. Wirralong is a fabulous Aussie town from four Aussie authors who have very vivid imaginations. We had the best time creating the townspeople and the Wedding Venue. I\u2019ve so loved being a part of the Outback Brides world but did feel it needed a doctor just in case. So I gave it two. This would be because midwifery has been my life and I love medical drama and heroic medical heroes.<\/p>\n Doctor\u00a0Ben Briely<\/strong>\u00a0is keen to settle into life as a small town general practitioner and help his grandmother run Briely Park. The city life was never for him. He\u2019s finally found the peace he\u2019s longed for, until the arrival of that one woman he\u2019s never been able to forget, threatens to shatter it all. No way is he revisiting that road of unrequited love\u2026except Holly Peterson seems fragile and in need of saving, and Ben\u2019s never stopped being Holly\u2019s white knight.<\/p>\n After losing her sister and her faith in the world of medicine,\u00a0Holly Peterson<\/strong>\u00a0moves home to Wirralong along with her two nephews. Determined to rebuild her life and create a loving home and sense of belonging, she opens the Outback Brides Coffee Shop as her new vocation.
