                Oh man! Love them both. I’m very fortunate to have both nearby here in northern California B. Three things on your bucket lis<\/strong> Travel, travel, travel (most of my bucket list involves visiting different places). C. What triggered this specific story?<\/strong> I wanted to write about a family, think the Waltons, but in modern times. I’m also a huge Debbie Macomber and Sherryl Woods fan and follow their television series.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

                Annie retrieved two bottles of ice cold water. She handed Jack one. \u201cWhy is the boat in between names?\u201d She took a sip of the water. It felt great on her parched lips, and the cool water quenched her dry throat.<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u201cThat\u2019s a long story.\u201d He peered out into the water before them.<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
                She took another gulp of water. It really tasted good. He was right. The heat could really sneak up on you when you\u2019re riding in a boat.<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u201cWell, we have time for long stories, don\u2019t we?\u201d She batted her lashes. She wasn\u2019t letting him off the hook that easy.<\/span><\/div>\n

                \u201cI had a girlfriend.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u201cYou named your boat after a girlfriend?\u201d Annie frowned.<\/span><\/div>\n

                \u201cShe was more than a girlfriend. We were engaged to be married.\u201d His eyes never left the water.<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
                \u201cA fianc\u00e9e, we call people we are engaged to be married to fianc\u00e9s.\u201d She giggled.<\/span><\/div>\n
                He turned quickly with furrowed brows then he resumed with eyes steady on the water.<\/span><\/div>\n

                \u201cI\u2019m kidding.\u201d She touched his arm and withdrew it quickly. \u201cAnyway, you named the boat after your fianc\u00e9e and now you two are no longer a couple, so the boat is nameless,\u201d Annie spoke freely.<\/span><\/div>\n

                \u201cThat\u2019s about the size of it.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

                \u201cHow about you give the boat a name that means something to you that would never change?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

                Jack looked back over his shoulder and then turned back around toward the front of the boat. All of a sudden, he cut the engine and they began to drift. He turned and sat down, bringing his bottle of water to his lips and drew in a drink. \u201cI thought about that. But I\u2019m terrible at naming things.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n

                \u201cLet\u2019s see. I named my dog Buffy because of her color.\u201d Annie searched the boat with her eyes for clues. \u201cHow about Lady Luck<\/i>?\u201d <\/span><\/div>\n
