\u201cBrooke. You mentioned a contract?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She opened the door wider. This had been such a bad idea. They were all alone; Connor was still at school. What had she been thinking, for crying out loud? She hadn\u2019t been thinking, that was the problem. At least not clearly. She still had brain fog after last night\u2019s scrumptious kisses\u2026 Oh, damn, she shouldn\u2019t be thinking about last night\u2019s kisses!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you keep looking at me like that, I\u2019ll have to kiss you again,\u201d Gavin said, his voice hoarse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Face flaming, she turned away and marched toward the kitchen. She\u2019d been staring at his mouth. The same mouth that had kissed her last night. The mouth she\u2019d been dreaming about throughout the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201ccontract\u201d she\u2019d been working on since the crack of dawn was lying on the table, and she quickly picked it up. \u201cNo kissing\u2026 Look, it\u2019s point number one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gavin took the piece of paper from her and leaned against the kitchen cupboard. He began reading what she\u2019d typed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was here, in her house, and all she could think about was how his lips had felt against her, how perfectly she\u2019d fitted against his body, how\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inhaling slowly, she tried to calm down her wayward thoughts. Damn, this had to be one of the stupidest things she\u2019d ever done, and that was saying a lot. She tended to do silly things\u2014her mind was mostly on her paintings and not on everyday things. But this particular, everyday thing, she should have given it more thought. Much more thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
